Looking for information on Maria Fairbanks Doggett, wife of John Lock Doggett.
According to the 1850 Census,Maria was born in Massachusetts. She was 40 at the time of that census, and her sons, John Locke Doggett(age 24) and Simeon Fobes Doggett (age 14), are shown as also having been born in MA. Aristides Doggett was born in Florida and was shown as age 20. Also in the household was Maria C., age 11. Do you know anything about Maria’s ancestry, like what her parents’ names were?
John Locke Doggett #1's graduated from Harvard in 1821. He must have gone to Jacksonville, Florida right after that. I also found some info about his father, Rev. Simeon Doggett and his service in the church in Mendon MA.
