Do you know who Cyrus' father was?
Don't have much on Jno.'s ancestors.
Jno. married Octavia, Mays. They lived in Botetourt, County, Virginia, and then later in the city of Roanoke. They had at least three daughters: Mary, Florence, and Octavia.
I believe daughter Octavia married W. O. Hunt.
Octavia filed a CSA widow's pension on behalf of her mother. The pension application says the mother is living with her daughter, Mrs. W. O. Hunt, or that is what it looks like to me. You might want to check the pension record yourself. You can access it on-line from the Library of Virginia.
