Been researching some of this family, and found that Frederick Doerr Sr. (DoB 16-Dec-1889, confirmed via military registration) married Elizabeth Graser about 1907. Does this help?

Please advise if so, and we can 'chat' about this history. I do believe the John George Doerr you note is his father.
