Gentlemen; i am also a descendant of nicholas and Sampson Doe. I possess a family history of the Does. The book does contain a story of Nicholas father owning a street of blue houses in London . But this story is only a legend. Doing research on the Does I have a Nicholas Doe in London in 1653.Whether this is our ancestor I am not sure. I found him in the LDS genealogical Web site www.familysearch.org It mentions the marriage of Nicholas to an Elizabeth Beene. However Our Nicholas was Married to Martha Thomas. Possibly Elizabeth was his First wife. The Doe Family history that I possess is uncertain about his whereabouts before New Hampshire. I would appreciate any information connecting him to the old world.
