Do you have any data about the parents of Jacob Morefield Dodson (Jake?) I don't know where to start for you.
1880 Stone Co., Ar., Sylamore Township indicates this family:
DODSON, John M. 65 b. SC
Matilda 37, b.AR 2nd wife of John (nee Davis)
Elizabeth 40 b. nc (Can't Identify her)
Arminda 20 b. AR (she may be Amanda)
James 15 b.AR {this would be James Jackson Dodson b.1865 m.Sarah Caldonia Burrow}
Littleton 11 b.1868, AR Called "Lit" ( this would be Littleton Baker Dodson m.Alice Kerley
Harvey 9 b.1871 ( this is L Harvey Dodson m.Sallie Jordon Goodman)
Jacob 4 b.abt 1876 AR. ( this would be YOUR Jacob Morefield Dodson m. Cordelia "Delia" Brewer)
Nancy J.2 b. AR. THERE IS ALSO A NANCY JANE DODSON B 1828 D. 1921 M TOM MILLER {perhaps THIS Nancy died and they named another daughter Nancy in 1878 ?????)
There are two other siblings listed that were born after this 1880 census. THEN John Morefield Dodson married again and had several more children Most of your Jake's siblings are buried in Akin Cemetery in Sequoyah Oklahoma. I hope I have verified some of your thoughts OR helped you a lot.
