This is not going to help you much, but many years ago.....'way before the Internet....a lady who lived in Palestine, Texas, and descended from the Dodsons who settled in Anderson Co., TX. She had them back to Grainger Co., Tennessee. She and I corresponed for several years, but I have forgotten her name.

Her Dodsons were connected to the Robertsons through a marriage in Tennessee, and the Robertsons also were from Grainger Co., TN.
