It sounds like a very plausible theory. This William Parker, Sr., was purchasing many parcels of land inherited by others, mostly Parkers, from this deceased James Parker. One parcel was inherited by a Parker in Georgia.Give me a couple of days and I'll email all these transactions to you.William Parker, Sr., died about 1815.William Parker, Jr., his son, was born about 1780 and married Charity Hawkins, daughter of Isham Hawkins. The younger William fits in well with a William L. Parker I was researching, but the wives' names do not match (I had it as Susannah).James Marshall may be the ? Marshall who married one of William Parker, Sr.'s daughters. My grandmother is a Vickery descendant of Aaron and Millie, so that is my connection to the Dodsons. My grandfather's mother was a Parker whose ancestors were supposed to have come from Halifax Co., NC.
