Nehemiah Dodge was headmaster at Cedar Hill Female Seminary in Mt. Joy, PA 1840-1861. His first wife was Frances Dodge, and she had a daughter, Frances Louisa Dodge. Nehemiah then married Belvidera Sampson, who at one time had been a student. They bore four children.
