I would appreciate any help with the family of James H Dodds. I have conflicting info regarding his many relocations after the Civil War.
Born 1844 Thornliebank Scotland Immegrated to US 1848
Served as private then lieutenant in the 14th Regiment Rhode Island Heavy Artillery. Last post in Louisiana
Married in either in RI or LA or both
Married either Alice Dupre (Dupris) or Lillie ?? or both
Children John abt 1868 in Louisiana & David F 1870 in LA
