I've written other messages here about Reid, who was involved in taking care of the cemetery at Doddridge Chapel. I am saddened to report he has passed on. Here is his obituary, as it appeared in the 5/17/03 issue of The Palladium Item. CENTERVILLE, Ind. -- Reid Doddridge, age 73, who resided in Centerville, Ind., died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at his son's home in Indianapolis, Ind. Born in Connersville, Ind., Feb. 1, 1930, to Emmett F. and Otta Green Doddridge, he had lived in this area all of his life. He was a farmer and a member of Circle City Model T Club. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sharon Baker Doddridge; two sons, Darrell Doddridge and his wife, Cindy, Indianapolis, Ind., and Kriss Doddridge and his wife Terri, Centerville, Ind.; seven grandchildren. Funeral services for Reid Doddridge will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville, Ind., with Dr. Jon Morgan officiating. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
