I don't know if you have this, so I decided to post Joseph Huff's will (husband of Nancy Doddridge) and their children:

1841 Tuscarawas Co, OH, Joseph Huff made his will on 8 May 1841 and it was admitted to Probate 6 June 1842. "...I, Joseph Huff,...give and devise to my son Jacob Huff the farm on which he now resides containing 80 acres and lying in section 18, T9, R1, of land offered for sale at Zanesville, OH. Secondly, I give and devise to my son James Huff the farm he now lives on, containing 60 acres, said land is lying in sec 18, T5, R1, of land offered for sale at Zanesville, OH, and thirdly my daughter Charlotte Morris has received her part of dower and also my daughter Prudence Robison has got her part of dower that was allotted for her, and also my daughter Jemima Shannon has received her right of dower that I allotted for her and also I give and devise to my son Joseph Huff three hundred dollars and also one bed and bedding and further the aforesaid lands that is left to my sons Jacob and James Huff is to go to them and to their heirs at my death forever, and further it is my will that if my wife, Nancy Huff, should outlive me I Will and Devise that she shall have all the money that is on hand and all the household furnishings then belonging to me during her natural live and then at her death to be at her disposal to go to any of her children as she thinks proper... " witnessed by Ephraim and Hugh Sears.

1850 Tuscarawas Co, OH, Perry twp, p 168, Nancy Huff (1774 VA) living alone.

The children of Joseph Huff and his wife Nancy Doddridge were:
- Charlotte (1796-1884) m. 28 Jan 1816, John Morris.
- Joseph (d. 1848-1854)*
- Jemima (1802-1873)m. 16 June 1822 Zaccheus Biggs Shannon.
- Prudence (1804-?) m. 1822 William Robinson.
- Jacob Hiram Huff (1806-?) m. 16 April 1830 Rebecca Gladden.
- James (1814-aft. 1900) m. 31 July 1838 Rosanna Grooms.

* Joseph was willed $300 by his father in 1841, and it was paid by 11 Dec 1847. He was not mentioned in the 1854 will of his mother, Nancy HUFF. (He has been confused with another Joseph, who seems to have been his first cousin, son of Samuel. This Joseph (30 Aug 1801 OH - 17 June 1863 OH, bur in Methodist Cem, Sugar Tree Ridge, Highland Co, OH) on 22 Nov 1821 md Esther WEBB, and their ch incl Martha; Amon; Susanna; Hannah; Sarah; William; Rachel; John; and Benjamin.)

Of the children of Joseph Doddridge and his wife Mary Biggs:
Hannah m. 1761 Michael Huff, Jr. These are the parents of Joseph Huff (above) who married Nancy Doddridge.

Sarah Elizabeth Doddrige, the sister of Hannah Doddridge married John Huff, brother of Michael Huff, Jr.

And of the relationships between the Huff and Doddridges:

Michael Huff, Jr. was identified in the John Huff Will to receive 50 acres of land John had bought in 1717 from Thomas Gideons. On 21 October 1740, Michael Huff, John Huff, J.S. Calder and George Cooper, Jr. had inventoried John Huff's estate; with Morgan Huff and M. A. Page as appraisers. On 12 December 1741, Michael Huff disposed of the 50 acres he had received. Michael on 16 May 1735 witnessed Will of William Bayley of Kent County. Michael may have left Kent County about the time of his father's death, as he does not show up again on records there.

During 1757/58, one Michael Huff served in the French & Indian War in Capt. Norris' and Lt. Richard Well's Company. This unit was recruited in Baltimore Company, which then included Harford County. This Michael, from circumstantial evidence is believed to be the son of Michael & Elizabeth, but this could be wrong. After the War, Richard Well led the move to Western Virginia, which then included part of present Pennsylvania.

By 1768, 1769 & 1770, Michael Huff Sr. and Michael Huff Jr. were with Joseph Doddridge in Bedford and Colerain townships of Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Later, some of the sons moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania.

The families of Michael, Jr. and Hannah and John and Sarah are well documented. The information is compiled from the research notes of Granville W. Hough by Max Huff and published in Volume 1, Number 4 - 15 May 1993 Hough and Huff Families Newsletter.

I hope this helps someone.

Regards
Sharon (Huff) Kaasa
