DODD, GLADYS
DODD, GLADYS MAUDE (nee Hill) of Port Colborne passed away at the Port Colborne General Hospital on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Gladys was born on December 16, 1917 in Edmonton, Alberta. Beloved wife of the late Morgan L. Dodd (May 30, 1973). Survived by her children Barbara Konig (Kurica) and her husband Arthur, Carol Charlton and her husband Ross, Ronald and his wife Florrie, Bruce and his wife Gayle and Kathie Citrigno and her partner Jim Hamilton, her grandchildren Linda Miller, Doug Konig, Kelvin Charlton, Jane DeKeyser, Mike Charlton, Leslie Dodd, Wayne Dodd, Tim Dodd, Jennifer Kaer, Heather Burton, James Dodd, Wendy Citrigno and Alyssa Citrigno as well as 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Charles Hill and her sister Winnifred Cowx. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Maude Hill, her sister Doris Mallett and her brother Fred Hill. Mrs. Dodd was a member of Central United Church, the Central United Church Women’s Auxiliary as well as the Port Colborne Seniors Centre. She also spent time as a volunteer for FACS and the Red Cross. The Dodd family will receive visitors at the PORT COLBORNE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 135 Clarence St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11:00 am. Burial in Overholt Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
