I am interested in finding information on the connection between AMZI DODD & WALTER BREAREY.
I descend from Walter Brearey who was from Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England. Walter Brearey & his wife Hanna Hirst came to live in Bloomfield, NJ abt.1866. Three of their children were born in Bloomfield, NJ between 1866 & 1871. Their next child b. 1873 was born when they moved back to England.
Walter named his son who was b. 1890 in England Amzi Brearey. The story that has come down in our family was that Amzi Dodd and Walter Brearey were great friends.
I have no information on the name of the company Walter worked for in Bloomfield. I do know he was worked in the cloth making industry.
By any chance do you have any information that might help me learn more about the friendship between these two families?
