Charles just to be clear I haven't found any connection between Elizabeth Flummerfelt married to Abner DeCew and Zacharias Flammersfeld/ Flomerfelt, in fact there do not appear to be any documented connections between the Flum/merfelts who went to Canada & the families in New Jersey it is just by inference.
The only documented daughter of Zacharias & Anna Gerderuth Schmidt is Mary Flomerfelt Baptism, 27 Oct 1734, at Christ Church, Philadelphia., and as the Administratrix of Zacharias estate in 27 Jan 1767 Bethlem Twp., Hunterdon Co.
Some family historians say Zacharias was also married to an Native American Camillia Hassel, but I have found no documentation to verify it or the nine(9) sons listed in T.E. Chambers "Early Germans of NJ" are by. It is interesting that none of the 9 sons are referred to in the 1767 Probate record.
Henry Jones does have several other families from the village of Flammersfeld perhaps some of these have lead to a surname confusion.
