Dockstader (and all variations) Family

Hi,

I am trying to locate information on my mother's family. She was born to Violet M. Drover - 1st married name Wood. Violet was born in about 1906 or so in Newfoundland. She was first married to Clayton B. Wood in 1923. In 1930 or so, Violet left her husband and three daughters: Vivian, Ethel (went by Mollie) and Isabelle (my mother). My mother did not see her again until she was in the Navy and her mother (Violet came to visit her). By that time, Violet had married again to someone by the name of Dockstader. I'm not exactly sure of the spelling - there are soooo many variations. Violet had two children in her second marriage - two sons. They were named George and Roger. George also visited my mother while she was in the Navy and then again when my sister was born in 1952. She has had no contact with them since that time.

I have no further information on Violet, George, or Roger except that Violet's parents were named John and Isabelle Pitcher Drover (don't know Isabelle's maiden name. Drover was her married name. Pitcher was her middle name.).

If anyone can help me, I would be ever so grateful. I have been looking for some time for this part of my family.

Gayle
