CENTRAL CITY - Elsie Muriel Dockery, 105, of 500 East Whitmer St., Central City, died at 1:25 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Sparks Nursing Center in Central City. She was born May 16, 1899, in Shady Grove and was a homemaker and member of Cleaton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brack Dockery; four sons, Leman Dockery, Lenord Dockery, Lawrence Dockery and Leon Dockery; three daughters, Lois Jones, Lola Newman and Loretta Arndell; and two grandsons, Larry Dockery and Oshel Jones.
Survivors include two sons, Lendel "Dinkum" Dockery of Bracey, Va., and William "Bob" Dockery of Richmond, Va.; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sib Walker of Evansville.
Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Ernest Bean officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
