Dear Cindy,

I can confirm that there are Dockers in Westmorland (now Cumbria) in the North West of England. My ancestor Hannah Docker was born in a village near Kendal in 1792. Docker family members go back here to the 1500s, and there is a village called Docker in this region.

Richard.
