I cannot help much, but I do not think Charlotte Dobyns was born as early as 1800. See http://www.myoutbox.net/ddcv09.htm#406. Jonah and Sophia were married in 1807. In 1800 and 1801, Jonah was still a Quaker.
"On 3 Jan 1801, Jonah was disciplined by the Goose Creek Monthly Meeting for dancing, which was contrary to the Quaker principles of the day." I think there would have been an earlier discipline if he had fathered a daughter seven years before he was married and while he was still a Quaker. I would suspect that Charlotte was born no earlier than 1807. If it was 1807, she would have been 19 when she married and would have been one year younger than her husband, which was about normal for the time. The period 1808 to 1809 seems even more likely. She was, by the way, my 4g-aunt.
