According to the 1850 NC Census. Joseph W. Dobson was a resident of Macon Cty, MC. His wife was named Rebecca Oglivie, b. 1819, SC. Her mother's name was Margaret and she was living in the Dobson household. Joseph was in the gold mining business. I am hopeing to make contact with a descendt of this Dobson family. I hope to be able to connect Joseph to my gr gr gr gr grandfather, John W. Dobson was was living in Haywood County in 1817, the year Joseph was born. If you can help me, pkease e-mail ne.
