William Thomas Dobson d 1852 LAN,ENG

Searching for information on the parents and ancestors of William Thomas Dobson of Lancastershire, England. All I know about him is that he died in 1852, probably in England. He was married to Mary Louisa White and had the following children: William John, Mary Hannah, George, Charles David, and Edward James. His father was reportedly killed at the Battle of Waterloo. Mary Louisa is reported to have remarried a Hodson. The family emigrated to the US about 1855 but not all at one time.
Any information on the English ancestors is greatly appreciated.
