We have a Robert Dobson in our family born in Kingston on Hull abt. 1787. His son we believe was George Thomas Dobson born in Kingston on Hull, Yorkshire abt. 1820 and died in Southampton, Bruce County, Ontario in 1859 after a fall from a lighthouse. George had a large family although in the male line it has died out. He was my gr-gr-grandfather.
