Don't know if there is a connection, but I would say it is likely. In my direct line are Redman Gordon Noe and his wife Elizabeth Dobson. I don't have their b., d., or m. dates yet, but their daughter Malinda Catherine Noe was born March 30, 1842 in Sinks of Brush Creek, Green County, Kentucky.
That would put her mother Elizabeth's birth year at around 1810-1820. It's possible that she could be one of the many children to your James and Elizabeth? The timing is pretty close. If it comes up in my research, I will let you know.
