I am looking for information on John Dobson who married Mary Ellen Ward in 1873 in Hull Yorkshire England. They had three children William Ward Dobson 1874-?, Elizabeth Ellen Sylvester Dobson 1878 - 1963, and John Thomas Dobson 1880 - ?
Mary Ellen died in childbirth in 1882 and the three children went to live with their maternal grandparents. Family story has it that John remarried and had several other children with his new wife but never returned for the first three children. I would like to try to find more information about this family.
Family story also says that one of the two brothers went to South Africa, but I don't know which one. Elizabeth married John Thomas Puckey and they immigrated to Canada in 1906.
