Sorry, doesn't look like a match. You should probably continue looking at the Canada possibility, though. Seems like there are a LOT of Dobsons in Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if my Dobson line doesn't turn out to have come from there. I wish I had known to ask my grandma about that. She may still be able to tell me, but she is 91 years old, and is only a shadow of her former sharp self. Some days she doesn't even remember who I am. Other days, she remembers everything. Just a reminder to everyone out there with older family members - don't wait to ask them about your family history - do it NOW. Most of the time, they will enjoy talking about it, and will appreciate having been asked.
