I'm a descendant of Robert Dobson (born abt 1750) & Ann Haddock, Hull – married 14/11/1768. My line is their son William (Big Bill), sister of Margaret. I also have information of another brother, Edmund. Both families move to Dundee & Arbroath in Scotland and were basketmakers. I also believe they had other children, Robert, George, Ann and Harriet.
I believe Robert’s parents were Robert and Mary Tomlinson - married 16/9/1744 in Fulford, York. His father was also called Robert and he was married to Margaret (Martha) Bell - married 26/5/1722 in Fulford, York.
