My name is Belinda Dobson - I only know very little about my fathers family and he has now passed away. This is the little I already know.
My grandparents where Nicolas Alfonse Dobson & Isabella Jane Dobson. They had three sons and one daughter - the sons are James (Jim), Nicholas (Nic), Edward (Ted, my dad) and Mary. Nic, Ted and Mary have now passed and nobody is sure whats happened to Jim, we believe he may live in or around Port Macquarie on the NSW north coast.
My grandparents owned various general stores in and around Balmain just after the second world war.
I am lead to believe our relative in England owned pubs and one may have been call the "Ted Dobson" pub. I know we have many James Dobson's still living in England.
Please contact me if you think you may be related as this has become very important to me since the passing of my father in October this year.
