I don't think we have a family connection that I can see yet. My g-g-g-grandparents, Thomas and Mary DOBSON were m 1808 in Caldbeck, Cumberland, England. My g-g grandfather, Joseph DOBSON was born 1818 in Caldbeck, Cumberland, England. G-grandfather, Joseph DOBSON was born 1842 Malew, IOM. My grandfather John Thomas DOBSON was born 1888 in Lonan, Isle of Man. He and his brothers came to MI USA in 1910 with their families. All settled first in the Upper Peninsula of MI and later some sons moved. There is a DOBSON family in Caldbeck Cumberland that has an Irving DOBSON but he was b 1834.
