I believe we are related! I'll contact you by private email with more details to exchange. My g-g grandparents were Joseph DOBSON b 1812 and Martha CAINE m 1832 Malew IOM. My g-grandfather, Joseph b 1842 Malew was a younger brother of your John b 1833. The John-Joseph and Walter DOBSON I am seaching, are sons of Joseph's elder brother, William b 1810.
