My husband's father, Douglas John Dobson was born February 27, 1970 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His father, Douglas John Dobson, was born March 8, 1891 in Douglas, Isle of Man and he married Lilly Woodhouse. At some point in time, this family emigrated to Canada.

Douglas John's father was John Dobson, b. 1865 in Lonan, Isle of Man. He married Louise Sidwell.

John's father, also John, was born in 1833 in Lonan. He married Ann Clague in Braddan.

John's father, Joseph, was born in 1805 and married Martha Caine.

Joseph's father, John, was born in 1770 in Malerv.

Could there be any connection here?
