Your entry makes me wonder if there is a connection to my husband's family.

This is the information we have. A minister, surname Doble, moved from Devonshire England to Ireland. He had a son, Luke Doble, born approximately 1747 and who died at the age of 75 in 1822. Luke had a daughter, Jane Doble who married Andrew Hamilton.

Andrew Hamilton was born on the Hamilton Estate in Scotland, and as a small boy moved with his parents to Cloonish Ireland. Cloonish is a town near Castlebar. As a young man, Andrew Hamilton emigrated to Ontario.

Jane Doble emigrated to Ontario shortly after Andrew Hamilton. They were married and produced five children: George (my husband's ancestor), Robert, Tom, Ann and Jane. George was born approximately 1829 and married Anna Moria Reddington October 9, 1862 and produced five children all born in Ontario.

We will await your reply with anticipation.

Florence Dunseath
