Hi Gaelynn. I thought that my great, great
grandfather John William Doble had a father Luke Doble born in
1747-1822 and a mother Margaret born 1747-
1828 both buried in Turlough Ireland. Now I
find that his father was James born about
1865 married Molly Good. John William was
born in 1785 so it seems likely since his
father would be 20, but that means that when John's brother Robert was born in 1779 that
his father was only 14. Robert's stone is in ST. James West Brock Cemetery.1779-1834.
Can you clear up this interesting new data?
Did Gerry give you his new source? Also it
seems that Luke Doble, John William,s
brother must have been a travelling man as
he had one daughter born in Ireland,a year
later a daughter in England and a couple of years later his next child is born in Brock Township. Any suggestions? Was there some
Irish /English link that let him move back and forth so easily? Larry
