Hello from Australia. I just want to revive this forum which was once very active but it now seems that everyone has traced their dobles way back Mine descend from:
William Doble b. 1651, Churchstanton, England, m. 31st May 1669, in Churchstanton, England, Mary Symons, d. 15th Jan 1689, Churchstanton, Devon, ENG
I would be grateful if anyone has traced earlier than this.
I also have pictures of James and Harriet Doble and their headstone in Australia. They came out to Australia in the Confiance in 1858 and through a descendant in Melbourne I have pictures of a diary of the trip to Australia. Please contact me if you are interested in these pictures or pictures of the area where they settled. There is even a Doble Lane where they had there homestead.
