Sorry to be so long getting back with you, rough week. I have 6 or 7 generations of Dobbs in northern middle TN.(Sumner Co.) My great aunt Elizabeth (Dobbs) Womack had done a lot of research and told me we were descendants of Arthur. Unfortunatley, she died long before I took a serious interest in geneology. I do have a Halbert's rendition of our Coat of Arms and a brief history of the surname.
My gggrandfather was James Chesley Dobbs. He was born in 1843. His parents were Henry Dobbs and Harriet Moody. This would put Henry about 2 generations from Arthur.
