Hi! Seeking information on my GG Grandfather Thomas Joe Dobbs who was born in Georgia 17 March 1862. Family legend (you know how reliable that is!) has it that his father was a wealthy plantation owner and that young Thomas was driven out and disinherited after some squabble with his father. He went to Texas and became a laundry truck driver at Waxahachie, Texas. Married twice: first in about 1888 to Anna Buford White (died 1890) and then to another woman, name unknown. Both marriages thought to have taken place at Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Thomas died there 25 January 1908. Would love to find out what happened back in Georgia and who his people were! Any help appreciated. Thanks for your time!
