Looking for last name of Lodaway's first wife, Elizabeth _________. They had at least one child in Bedford County TN. Lodaway was born 1793 in Georgia. I need to know his parents. He married a second time, around 1829 in Union Co. KY to a COWAN lady and they settled in Hopkins Co. KY. He is in the 1830 Hopkins Co. KY census and in the tax records. In 1834 he married again in Wilson Co. TN to Pamelia WILLIAMS and they had several children. He is not found in the 1840 census but appears with Pamelia and children in the 1850 census of Shawneetown, Gallatin Co. IL. Both he and Pamelia are gone by 1860. Children by his first wife appear to be: Joseph (Josiah) Dobbs, b. about 1818 TN; Matilda Dobbs, b. 1820; Martha Dobbs; Leuisa Dobbs b. abt. 1825; Elizabeth Dobbs; Juliann Dobbs. Family tradition points to there being some intermarriage with Native American. Any help appreciated. Will gladly exchange information.
