William. You did not respond to my query, so I tried to call you at home[1-561-775-8636] and could not get answer. Question. Are you a descendent of O.C. Dobbs or one of his brothers? Of the 10 children of Samuel W. Dobbs[b1820] and Catherine, I have connected with decendents of 5 of the children. The Samuel Guilford[?] Dobbs that you are researching was born 1802 and the son of old Nathaniel, born about 1860. His wife was Loraney. They moved to Harris Ct. Ga. before 1830 with brothers, Nathaniel, Jr. [b1787] and William Dobbs[1790] Samuel G. Dobbs stayed in Harris Ct. Ga. with family until about 1865, then moved to Cleburne Ct. Ala. William Dobbs moved to Macon Ct.Ala. before 1840 and Nathaniel moved there before 1850. Nathaniel, Jr. with wife Sarah, Father in Law Rueben Red and wife Ruthey and a woman named Ctherine Lasley enroled in the Mountain Creek Baptish Church, Feb. 27, 1829 in Harris Ct. Ga. The 1830 Harris Ct. Census has this family in same household with Nath Dobbs and 4 sons. Sons not listed but they are Samuel W., Nathaniel, 3rd., Rueben, and James. James died in Civil War. Rueben family in Crenshaw Ct. Ala. Samuel and N.A. 3rd. Coosa Ct. Ala. and Nat. 3rd died in Childers Ct. 1917. Would like to talk to you.
