Mr. Smith..Before 1850, without Bible Records and Court Records, we have to rely on the census and use the process of elimination and accountability for the children, etc. 1820, old Nathaniel had 2 young sons in his household and most likely one was your Samuel. My Samuel W. was born 1820. By 1830 Nathaniel, Jr. was in Harris Ct. with 4 sons and a Samuel was there also.[Yours] Did not find Nat. Jr. 1840, but my Samuel and yours with others brothers and Cousins was in Harris Ct. [The young S.W. Dobbs was mine] Nat. Jr. showed up in Macon Ct. Ala. for the 1850 census with brother William with families. My Samuel[S.W. Dobbs and N.A. Dobbs[Nathaniel 3rd. born 1825] was living door to door on the 1860 census of Coosa Ct. Ala. [not S.G.] On RootsWeb and other places I find wrong info. that people copy from other sources without any research at all. My Samuel decendents names boys Nathaniel for two or 3 generations. Some of my info. comes from the old Willett Bible and from Census and Court Records. It is a shame that we have lot of copycats and no researcher or true genealogists. Would like to trade info.
