I've had a hard time also with the Alcy (Elsie) Ann Trotter also. I have seen it spelled two ways. I have been on the Trotter web sit looking for info on her but so far no one seems to know anything. I'll let you know if I come up with anything more.

As far as Winfield Dobbs, I have picked up quite a lot also, but would like to compare dates and names because I haven't been able to confirm most of the data yet. I go back to a John Dobbs born in 1575 in London England. Email me at batesgingell@aol.com. We can compare dates.

Also how does your line go after Dobbs your not a Bates are you?
