I came across some information I received several years ago from a Dobbs descendant in KY. Archibald Lee Dobbs was born 1826/1827
in Casey Co, KY, then went to MO. His mother was Sarah Morgan (who Fidell Dobbs, brother of Archibald Lee Dobbs, described in his research as "closely related to John Morgan the Raider") I have no idea who John Morgan the Raider is. Joel went to Taney Co., Missouri where he died in 1842. Joel was born 22 Feb 1791 in Buncombe or Burke Co., NC. First wife, Sarah (Sally) Morgan was born 1788, Buncombe Co., MO. She died in 1828, Casey Co., KY. They had 6 sons and 3 daughters. I obtained this information from a great-great granddaughter of Joel. Karen
