Am seeking information on my great-grandfather Jesse Dobbs, who died in Goodman, MO in February of 1909. According to the death notice which appeared in the Webb City Register on February 6, 1909, Jesse's body was being returned to Webb City. It also stated that he was 36 years old, so that would make his date of birth around 1873. But no clue as to where he is buried. His wife, Lucretia Jones Dobbs, died in May 1896 is buried in Lake Cemetery outside of Lamar/Webb City, MO but there is no mention in the Lake Cemetery log book of Jesse being buried there & the funeral home that collected his body is no longer in business & their records are not available. Their son Glenn Dobbs (my grandfather) was born in May 1895. Any info on this elusive Jesse Dobbs would be appreciated. Please feel free to email me directly. colby@qnet.com
