I think the william Dobbs I am searching for was married more than once.
The relatives I know for certain are:

My grandfather James Raymond Dobbs b. 1867 and married Clara
Rankins. They had 13 children. Some of their children were Ida Dobbs, Ada , Margaret, Roy, Lawrence Dobbs and a set of twins Gilmer and Eldon Dobbs plus others.

William Dobbs married Mary ??? and had James Dobbs and Emma Dobbs b. about 1860 in Vernon County Wisconsin. She married John Greenfield.

Their children were Harvey, Rosie, and Susie Greenfield.

A cousin tells me William Dobbs died around Black River Falls, Wisconsin and was buried in Wonewoc, Wi, But no marker. Does Alexander Dobbs mean anything to you????
He was perhaps my grandfather James Dobbs" half- brother.

Good luck to both of us..

Thank you for your reply. Think Thomas was a half-brother, but an searching the cencus for him.

Thanks again.
