Thank you so much for your informative posts. My grandmother, Myrtle V. Hatfield b. 5 April 1888 in Linton, Green Co. Indiana married Alexander Campbell Fields. Grandmother died 5 Aug 1970 in Bedford, Law. Co. Ind. She was the daughter of Armstead Hatfield b. 11 Sept 1850 and Sarah Parker b. 1854 and d. 1939 in Bedford Ind. Sarah Parker is buried in the Green Hill Cemetery right in Bedford. Sarah Parker was the daughter of William H. Parker and Bethena Dobbs. All I knew before reading your posts was the fact that this family of Dobbs was a German family. Thank you again for the information and if you would share more on the Dobbs or Parkers I would greatly appreciate it. I have a note in this file that says that Joel Dobbs second wife was Lucy Hurst, the dau of Jesse and Nancy Hurst.
Could Lucy have married both the father and the son.........??
