I'm looking for the parents of Nathan Carol Dobbs who I think was born in either Georgia or Rutherford Co, Tenn. He moved to Cumberland County, Illinois (near Toledo), married Julia Ann Berry and had 8 kid by his first wife.
During the Civil War he was a Pvt, Company I, 5th Cavalry Regiment, Illinois Volunteers. He fought in the Battle and Siege of Vicksburg. His name is on a plaque in the Illinois Memorial at Vicksburg battlefield. Enlisted 9/23/1861, mustered out 11/7/1864, Vicksburg, Miss.
Besides needing ancestrial data on Nathan, I also need vital stats on his kids (Mary Ann, Catherine, Henry, Perry Alexander & Rachael Leander (twins), Julia & Milde &Lloyd (triplets)
