I am trying to find out about my grandmother's family. Can anyone add any information about other member's of the family ?

My grandmother's name was Katherine Dobbie. She was born 30th March 1898 in Whalley Range, Manchester. She had a brother, James Lang Dobbie, born 15th August 1901, died 1975. There was also a still born baby, who was born in between Katherine and James - her name was Elizabeth.

My grandmother's father was John Lang Dobbie, born 11th Jan 1862 in Falkirk, died 10th Sept 1914 in Stretford, Manchester. Her mother was Mary Elizabeth Johnston - dob unknown, died 1st July 1911.

John Lang Dobbie's parents were Christine Lang and James Dobbie. Lang is a family name, all the son's having it as a middle name.

Mary Elizabeth Johnston's came from London and graduated from teacher training college (Homerton,London) in 1889. Her father was in the War Office and retired to Canterbury.

John and Mary had a shop in Gorse Hill, Manchester. Mary also ran a private school. John was a bootmaker by trade.
