5.Asahel Wm. was my great grandfather. He married Abigail Content Thierry c.1882. She was born Nov.25,1854 in Wenona,IL. She was the 4th child of Lewis Marabin Thierry and Mary Palmer Thierry, both of Washington County,OH. I believe that Mary Palmer Thierry was the sister of Anna Palmer Doane, wife of (iii)Wm. Asahel Doane. If this proves to be the case, my great great grandfathers were brothers-in-law and my gg grandmothers sisters.
Be that as it may, this was meant to illustrate an inaccuracy of the Doane Book Vol. I
