My husband and I are both descended from Deacon John Doane and his wife Anne Perkins.
This is our Doane line down to Ruhamah Doane who m. William Cromartie of Bladen Co. NC.
1. Deacon John Doane b. 1590, England, d. 21 Feb 1684/85, m. Anne Perkins.
2. Ephraim Doane b. bef. 1645, Plymouth,Mass.
d. 1700 in Eastham, Mass, m. 1st Mercy Knowles 05 Feb 1666/67, m. 2nd Mary Smalley
3. Hezekiah Doane Sr. b. Aug 1672, Eastham, Mass. d. 1752 Eastham, Mass., m. 1st Hannah Snow ca 1690 Eastham Mass., m. 2nd Mary Smith Freeman
4. Hezekiah Doane Jr. bapt. 30 Mar 1712 at Truro, Mass., d. unknown, m. Thankful Bickford Oct 7, 1731 at Truro, Mass. They later moved to Wilmington, New Hanover Co, NC
where they were members of "St. James Church"
They shared Pew 13 with the family of William
Mouat (Mote). During this time Hezekiah served as Justice, juryman and witness from ca 1760-1770. Children:
