Dee the following is the information that I have come up with for Abraham Doan, Elizabeth Swartz and family.
ABRAHAM7 DOAN (JOSEPH6, JOSEPH5, ISRAEL4, DANIEL3, DANIEL2, JOHN1) was
born February 08, 1804 in Humberstone Township, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada,
and died March 04, 1887 in Cheapside Village, Walpole Township, Haldimond Co.,
Ontario, Canada. He married ELIZABETH SWARTZ 1825 in Walpole, Haldimond Co.,
Ontario, Canada, daughter of SAMUEL SWARTZ and CATHERINE UNKNOWN.
Children of ABRAHAM DOAN and ELIZABETH SWARTZ are:
i. MARY ANN DOAN, b. 1826; m. JOSIAH LOCKE.
ii. ISRAEL DOAN, b. November 03, 1828, Walpole, Haldimond Co., Ontario,
Canada; d. January 19, 1868, Georgetown, Ottawa Co., Michigan.
iii. CATHERINE DOAN, b. 1830.
iv. SAMUEL DOAN, b. 1832; d. Kansas.
v. MAHLON DOAN, b. 1835.
vi. SOPHIA DOAN, b. 1837; m. JOSEPH ROOP.
vii. JOHN DOAN, b. November 08, 1840; m. ANNA MARGARET SLOAN, 1864.
Notes for JOHN DOAN:
In 1865, he removed to Michigan. Then in 1868, to Crawford Co., Kansas. Then
in 1882 to Reno Co., Kansas, and in 1889 to Vernon, Texas, where he resided in
1902 as a builder and contractor. They had eight children, four of whom were
living in 1900.
