I would like to hear from you. It sounds like we are related. I live in Sioux Falls, Sd and was born in Bismarck, ND. I was the 4th generation in ND with my Great Grandfather moving there from the midwest. His name was George H. Doan. His father was a pirate in Canada so to speak, because he had to flee the USA. We have some info about his life in Canada in the form of a letter written by a wife of his to relatives in the US. It states that he had been dueling that year, etc. Sound familiar? Let me know! Thanks!
