Hello, I just stumbled in while surfing. I am also descended from the Doak's of West Virginia. My Great Grandfather Joseph Moffatt of West Union (Doddridge County) married Margaret Doak Smith (2nd wife). I have a copy of the book by B.E. Hanes.

Anyone who wants to get a copy should go to "http://www.higginsonbooks.com/". This is a very good source for old, out of print books.

The name of the book is "Doak Family History and Genealogy" and it was published in 1931.

If anyone wants they can email me and I would be more than glad to check my copy to see if your relatives are in it.
