I have two volumes of Field Marshall Montgomery's WW2 memoirs published around 1947. One (bought in a bookshop in New Delhi, India)has the name J M Doak written inside. The other has a bookplate with a coat-of-arms comprising dexter a galley (boat) sinister a greek helmet below 2 circles, the shield surmounted by a helm and mantle with a crest comprising an eagle holding a rabbit or hare. The motto scroll has in greek letters: MEDEN AGAN. Below, the initials of the owner are TGD (Doak?) Any links?
